support hot swap fans in the 1U chassis, which is easy to maintain and
fault resilience for better thermal solution; the 1+1 hot-swap redundant
PSU is highly reliable with 7 x24 services; while hot-swap HDD bays
provide complete RAID solution for data protection.
ASUS PIKE Upgrade Kit for SAS Storage
The ASUS optional PIKE
provides direct SAS RAID upgrade and multiple I/O solutions and RAID
functions through a unique slot—without sacrificing expansion
capability, and is compatible with all ASUS Tylersburg DP MB for future
use.

Virtualization provides
central management through a hub and reduces power consumption and cost
for cooling and space requirements. The RS700D-E6/PS8 is able to
provide excellent virtualization applications with ISV certification.
The onboard vertical USB connector is designed for VMWare ESXi, to make
full use of the system resource and reduce the TCO and IT expense.
Real-time and Out-of-band Server Management
The optional
ASMB4-iKVM module offers real-time web-based management and remote
system control (KVM-over-IP) with a single local computer.
